BEATEN, BUT NOT BOWLED.—The Old Collegians batsman, P. Kyle, is badly beaten by the High School Old Boys* medium pacer, G.T. Chambers, but the ball narrowly missed the stumps. Kyle was out for two in Old Collegians’ first innings of 133 on the first day of club matches in the Canterbury Cricket Association’s senior competition on Saturday, The match is being played at Hagley Oval.
