PAISLEY VISIT

Invitation regretted (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 7. The Presbyterian Church in Auckland will dissociate itself from any contact with the Rev. lan Paisley, if he comes to New Zealand. The Moderator of the Auckland Presbytery (the Rev. F. W. Winton) said the projected visit was to be regretted and he hoped it would not eventuate.

The Loyal Orange Institution of New Zealand has also dissociated itself from moves to invite Mr Paisley. “We wish to make it clear that the institution in New Zealand, as well as in Ireland, is not connected with Mr Paisley in any way whatsoever, and we are not supporting moves to invite him to New Zealand,” the institution’s public questions committee said in a statement today.
