TIMPSON ELECTED

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Two previous selectors were dropped and two new ones chosen when the Auckland Cricket Association’s management committee selected the three-man panel to choose its Plunket Shield teams this season. Those dropped were Messrs G. O. Rabone, the past converener, and B. J. Postles. The new members, both from the Papatoetoe club, are Messrs S. G. Gedye and A. C. Timpson. Mr A. Clark, the survivor of last year’s selection panel, was re-elected and later named as convener. Mr Gedye is the former New Zealand and Auckland opening batsman, and Mr Timpson, previously of Canterbury, is a former New Zealand Universities player.
