Stiff collars
Sir,- —ln reply to Mrs K. Cooke’s letter about her grandson using a nut and bolt for studs in his stiff collar, I can assure her that this boy would have been the only one in the history of Christ’s College to do such a thing. I will say this for the stiff collar that it is far cooler and cleaner than an attached one. I would far sooner wear a shirt with a stiff collar than an ordinary shirt—Yours, etc., BENE ORADITA BENE SERVANDA. Christ’s College, September 18, 1970.
