(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. J. W. Bolton, a silver medalwinner at the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games, became the second New Zealander—and the first middle heavy-weightr—to lift 10001 b at the Auckland amateur weight-lifting championships on Saturday. Only D. J. Oliver has lifted a heavier total, 11051 b. Bolton broke four national records at the championships, gaining 3351 b in the press, 2951 b in the snatch, 3701 b in the clean and Jerk, for a total of 10001 b. Other winners were:—Flyweight: D.
