(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Coparioht? SYDNEY, September 7. Australian detectives and an American F. 8.1. agent are investigating the circulation of counterfeit United States $2O notes in Sydney. So far 100 forged notes have been passed. The Reserve Bank of Australia detected 45 of the counterfeit notes last week, after they had been passed to a Chinese trader in Sydney. Mr Charles Jet, a special agent attached to the United States Naval Investigative Service and representing the F. 8.1. overseas, is assisting the local police. Police files have been sent also to Interpol. the United States and to Asian countries.
