Jury Service

Sir,—The letter signed “Near-Senex" is of particular interest to me, as I recently received a notice announcing my selection as a juror, the duties of which I was obliged to decline as being over the age limit. I would like to endorse all the remarks of “Near-Senex” and would also like to state that in 1967, at the age of 70. I received from the New Zealand Foundation for the Blind a certificate entitling me to transcribe Braille. I carried this work on until June of this year, and this has been interrupted by a move to another town. I had hoped to resume this after settling in, but the illness of my husband has made this doubtful.—Yours, etc., PAST-SENEX. September 3, 1970.
