TECHNICAL EDUCATION OFFICER FOR HONG KONG THERE IS A vacancy for an education officer (technical) Wool Technology (knitting) in Hong Kong. Candidates preferably under 35 years of age, and may be male or female. DUTIES: To lecture at the Hong Kong Technical College on advanced aspects of knitting technology, knitted fabric structures, knitted fabric analysis, knitting clothing technology and other related subjects, to undertake responsibilities and administrative duties in the organisation of the textile courses up to the level of Associateship of the Textile Institute; and to undertake such other duties as may be required. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: A British University Honours degree in Textile Technology or equivalent, plus at least three years’ approved professional post-qualification knitting experience on flat bed, circular and full fashioned machinery OR be an Associate Member of the Textile Institute (by examination) with considerable experience in similar fields. Appointment on agreement for three years in the first instance. Salary in scale equal to about SNZ4SSO- - for men and SNZ39OO-SNZB7SO for women. One increment granted for every completed year of relevant experience in excess of entry requirements. Gratuity 17 per cent also payable on completion of agreement.
