New Dunedin Building

Tenders will be called soon for the construction of this nine-storey Government Life Insurance Office building on the corner of Princes and Rattray Streets, Dunedin. The building will have a basement and nine floors and rise to a height of about 100 ft The roof will contain building services and a custodian’s flat The gross area will be 87,500 ft, of which 63,164 ft will be leased. As well as accommodating the Government Life Insurance Office in modern firstclass offices, the building will be occupied by several Government departments. Some private shops will also be available for letting on the Princes Street frontage. The architects are Collins and Son, of Christchurch.
