LOW-LEVEL SUPPLY DROP.—A Royal Air Force Hercules aircraft dropping supplies from 10ft during extensive trials of a new dispatch system in England. Known as the ultra-low-level dispatch system, the method can be used with most of the larger rear-loading transport aircraft. The system will soon go into operational use with the R.A.F. Support Command.
