WOOL PRICE DOWN
(N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU, Sept 3.
The average price for greasy wool sold at the first Timaru sale of the season on August 17 was 25.10 c per lb. This was down 1.61 c per lb or slightly more than 6 per cent on the same sale last year.
The 12,156 bales sold averaged $84.97 each and the total proceeds for greasy wool came to $1,032,014.06.
