Island Visit By Minister
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. The Minister of Island Af-i fairs, Mr Maclntyre, next week will make his first offi-i cial visit to the Tokelau Is-' lands. He will attend a session ofj the South Pacific Commission: at Fiji, during his 10-dayi islands visit, and make an! official visit to Western Sa-j moa. In Samoa, he will visit in-• stitutions and projects which: have been assisted by New' Zealand. These include the l agricultural college at Ala-, fua, the headquarters of the; Rhinoceros beetle project, | and the harbour at Asua. In the Tokelau Islands he will attend the General Fono,; or council meeting of the: three atolls, which is held, every three years.
