FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anticyclone covering the south Tasman Sea is spreading on to New Zealand. A frontal zone is moving slowly northwards over* the North Island. Forecast: Canterbury and the Kaikoura Coast.— Cloudy about the coast this morning and again tonight; otherwise fine; moderate day temperatures inland; north-east winds fresh in some coastal places. Marlborough.—Moderate south-easterly winds; scattered drizzle and mist at first; becoming fine during the day, but cloud persisting about the eastern coasts and hills; cool at first, becoming mild in sheltered places. Nelson.—Easterlies about Golden Bay, otherwise light winds; fihe, mild by day. Buller and Westland.—Winds mainly moderate and variable; fine, mild by day. Outlook: fine in all districts.
