Pet Sheep Butchered

WESTPORT, August 31. Sally, a pet sheep belonging to Mrs Mary Armstrong, the Waimangaroa postmistress was recently butchered and left lying at her back doorstep. The killer took all edible meat from the animal and skinned it.

Sally, was four years old, and was due to lamb in less than a week but all that remained of her was her empty carcase when her owner found her. , ,

Her lamb had been hacked away and was left lying in two pieces inside the skin.
