Robin Dundee Has Foal
"The Press” Special Service INVERCABGILL. New Zealand's greatest race mare. Hobin Dundee, which took a record ot Imin 59sec in winning the Miracle Mile at Harold Park, Sydney and a race record of Imin 59 4-ssec in New Zealand, produced her first foal—a colt by Adios Butler—in United States on August 15. Bobin Dundee, which won a total of J 229.272, is being bred from in the United States bv her former owner, Mr J. W. Hewitt, of Invercargill, In partnership with the American syndicate, headed by the New York trainer, E. Cobb, which bought her. Her Adios Butler colt Is the property of Mr Hewitt. Bobin Dundee will be mated again with Adios Butler, but not until December so that she will foal next season to American time. The Adios Butler colt is likely to be brought to New Zealand when a yearling. Adios Butler held the world mile record at Imin 54 3-ssec until it was bettered by the present recordholder, Bret Hanover, Imin 53 4-ssec.
Dog Attacks Horses
<N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) „ MELBOUBNE. The New Zealand racehorses, Not Again and Bich Beturn, returned to track work in Melbourne yesterday unhindered by injuries they suffered when attacked by a stray dog at the week-end. Both were lucky to escape serious Injury when the dog unexpectedly made at them. Bich Beturn, one of the best fillies to leave New Zealand In 20 years, had to have three stitches in a nostril where the dog bit her. Not Again was also bitten on the nose, but although marked, did not require stitches.
