OLYMPIC TRACK

A Rekortan surface will ;be used for the track ; events at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and early indications are that - it should help promote fast : times. In the first meeting : held on this surface in ; Munich recently, two ; world records were broken. Chi Cheng (Formosa) ran the women’s 200 metres in 22.45ec. and cleared the 100 metres hurdles in 12.8 sec. Afterwards, Miss Cheng was full of praise for the track. Four training centres with the same surface will be provided in Munich before the Games.
