HOCKEY Hawera Canterbury and Wairarapa; held a two-p.oint lead in their respective sections after thej second day of the Hatch Cup national primary schoolboys’ hockey tournament at Hawera. However, Wairarapa had to; struggle for al 1-1 draw against ‘ Nelson and Canterbury was hard pressed to beat its closest rival, Waikato, 1-0. Ashburton, untroubled by the rain which fell steadily all day, had the day’s biggest score, defeating Taranaki B. 8-0. Results: Section One. —Waikato 3.
