Company Wound Up

An order for the winding up of New Zealand Market Publications, Ltd, was made by Mr Justice Macarthur in the Supreme Court yesterday. The Official Assignee (Mr J. B. K. Curran) was appointed provisional liquidator. A petition seeking the winding up was brought by D. N. Adams, Ltd (Mr J. R. Milligan), under provisions of the Companies Act. Leslie Charles Fulford, the managing director of D. N. Adams, Ltd, said that between September last year and April this year his firm did printing work worth $l3Ol for Market Publications, but in spite of several demands nothing had been paid. Mr Milligan said that a “man named Richards, of whom the Court had heard a lot recently,” was the principal shareholder in the firm and he had had the most to do with running the business. Copies of the petition had been sent to all shareholders or their attorneys but nothing had been heard from them, said Mr Milligan.
