‘Jump-A-Thon’ Postponed
Adverse weather conditions last Saturday forced the Canterbury Sky-diving Club to postpone its six-man sponsored “Jump-a-thon” until Saturday, September 5. The club was attempting to raise its share of the funds needed by the New Zealand Federation of Parachute Clubs to send the first official national team to the world championships in 1972. Low cloud, high winds and rain made conditions dangerous for ths attempt.
