BETTING RECORD
The off-course turnover of $444,393 on the second night of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's national meeting at Addington Raceway on Tuesday was a record for a night trotting meeting in New Zealand. The previous' best was $386,718 recorded by the Auckland Trotting Club. Combined turnover at the national meeting was $1,056,776, an increase of $137,776 over the night and day meeting of 1969. The turnover might Influence the club to run both national meetings at night In the future.
