JAPANESE MINI SUBMARINE.—This miniature submarine, the KSI, capable of operating in depths of nearly 100 ft, can be used for coastal work below the sea or for recreation. It can carry two passengers at a speed of up to two knots for more than an hour. The submarine was built at the Kawasaki Heavy Industry plant in Japan.
