Further Dancing Titles At Timaru Competitions

(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU. Winner of the South Island reel o’tulloch (any age) title at the Timaru competitions on Tuesday evening was lola Smith (Timaru). The judge (Mrs J. Y. Paton, of Christchurch) awarded Miss Smith 85 points for her "buoyancy and good interpretation.” Joan Glass, of Timaru, was second with 84 points, and Denise Howard (Timaru) was one point behind her.

The South Canterbury under-16 Highland fling championship was won by Paulette Reid, of Timaru (78) from Christine McDonald, of Dunedin (77), and Glenda Hampton, of Ashburton (76). The South Canterbury Irish jig (under-14) championship was decided this morning. The winner was Christine McDonald. Paulette Reid was second, and Lynette Bradley, of Pareora, was third.
