N.Z.T.S. Sales Increase

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 26. Sales in the four months of the year to July 31 had shown an attractive increase on those of last year, the chairman of N.Z.T.S. Holdings, Ltd (Mr J. H. .Plowman), said at the annua) meeting. Speaking of the offer by his company for 90 per cent of the shares of Auckland Laundry Company, Ltd, he said it was a well-established laundry, which had considerable scope for expansion. The directors were confident that by rationalising processing activities of the two companies profit records would be improved. “This move will take time,” he said, “and will show little effect in this financial year.” The offer is one N.Z.T.S. 50c ordinary share plus 250 c in cash for two Auckland Laundry ordinary shares. This places the value of slightly over 210 c on each Auckland Laundry share and makes the total bid worth about $662,000.
