Busy Week For Bruce
This week will be memorable for the Canterbury Rugby first five-eights, O. D. Bruce. On Friday, he gets married, on Saturday he will play for Canterbury in the Ranfuriy Shield match against Waikato. His bride-to-be is Miss Daphne Syme, of Staveley. The wedding will be held in Ashburton, but the honeymoon, by force of circumstances, Will be postponed until the end of the year. The 23-year-old Bruce, who comes from Ashburton, took up a teaching appointment at the Wharenui School this year.
