Tearooms May Move

The Way Side tearooms and de Lautour home at Scarborough, threatened by blasting on- the adjacent cliff face, may be moved to safety, according td the City Engineer (Mr P. G. Secular). He said he had discussed the matter yesterday with Mr de Lautour’S solicitor and a final decision would be made after consultation with the de Lautours, said Mr Secular last evening. The contractor who is blasting the rocks, Mr N. H. Harris, said last evening that he would be delighted if the buildings were removed, because it would give him a free hand on the job.
