Fair Figures Up

Both yesterday and the day before, paid attendances at the Industries Fair had been more than 10,000, the director of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association (Mr R. T. Alston), said last evening. Yesterday’s total of 10,402 was almost 3000 more than the attendance for the corresponding day last year, said Mr Alston. Tuesday’s figure of 10,041 was the highest ever recorded for a Tuesday since the fair opened in its present form 33 years ago.
