Familiar names
Familiar names keep cropping up in sport, almost inevitably. When he was at the Christchurch Boys’ High School the Canterbury cricketer, J. W. Burtt, won the senior cross - country championship, without the benefit of previous training. This week his younger brother Mark—in his third year, a member of the school’s top hockey and cricket teams won the intermediate section of the cross • country race at Christchurch Boys’ High School.
They are sons of Mr N. V. Burtt, a former Canterbury and South Island representative cricketer.
