LEADING STOCKS RECOVER SOME OF THEIR LOSSES
Leading stocks were prominent among the rises on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday but the margin of falls over rises gave an uneasy tone to the market.
South British Insurance recovered 2c- to equal its previous high for the year of 612 c.
Feltex, N.Z. Forest Products, New Zealand News and Skellerup, reversed their recent easier trend and made useful gains. Alex Harvey, Farmers’ Trading Company, and U.E.B. were among the leaders to lose ground. Numerous second-line stocks retreated noticeably.
