Sir, —In his justified criticism Mr A. F. Wright could well have added that impoverishing the farming community on the eve of Britain’s almost certain entry to the Common Market when there would almost assuredly be an additional crunch of unknown magnitude, is an act of supreme economic folly. Mr Wright, and others, however, should not be surprised. Indirectly, the farming community are now getting what the majority voted for last election.
