Vegetable And Fruit Prices
Prices of a number of vegetables were down at the Christchurch produce markets yester- . day compared with last week. . Cabbages sold up to 90c a case. . 30c less than last week while white turnips went up slightly from 50c a dozen bunches to 60c. Silver beet also went up 20c a case but these two vegetables were the exeptions. Utah celery dropped from 83.25 to 83 a case and tomatoes l went down to 65c per lb from 71c. Most fruit prices were uni changed with only tamarillos I showing a slight increase.
