Retirement Soon (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, August 24. The Dean of the University of Otago Dental School (Sir John Walsh) has announced his intention to retire next year. Dean of the school for al-
most 25 years, Sir John Walsh made his announcement while delivering the presidential address at the opening ceremony of the Dental Association’s fifth biennial conference in Dunedin. Sir John Walsh, who will be 60 next year, has been professor of dentistry and dean of the dental school since 1946. Official notice of his intention to retire will be placed before a meeting of the university council tomorrow by the Vice-Chancellor (Dr R. M. Williams).
