(N.Z. press Association) WELLINGTON. Second-half superiority gave South Island Post Office superiority over North Island Post Office at Hataitai Park on Saturday, resulting in a 19-10 win for the South.
Both teams had to adapt to slippery conditions caused by earlier rain, but South Island showed more drive and combination in ths forwards, with K. Gutsell and A. Turnock gaining good ball in the line-outs. In the second half, the South back-line was too swift and the forwards too aggressive for the North,
