Immolation Tried
A 62-year-old Buddhist nun drenched herself with kerosene and set it alight early today in a small Buddhist re-treat-house in Hong Kong. She was taken to hospital with serious burns. Friends said the nun had been reading about Buddhist monks and nuns who had committed suicide by fire in Vietnam.— Hong Kong, Aug. 21.
