AKER FAMILY REUNION
The Aker family, one of the oldest and best-known families in the Temuka district, held a reunion recently. There were 98 members ol the family present at the function, which coincided with the ninetieth birthdaj of Mrs M. Aker, who married the late Mr G. Aker at Timart 71 years ago. Mrs Aker celebrated hei birthday in the presence oi five daughters, a son, grand children, great grandchildrer and other relatives from as far as Waipu (Northland) ant Invercargill. After their marriage, Mi andTdrs Aker moved to Esl Valley. Subsequently, thej settled at Orton, and then a' “Springburn,” Orari, before retiring to Temuka in 194( when a son, the late Mr D
