TUTTON HORSES ON LEASE
As Mr J. F. Tutten has given up racing and training temporarily he has leased his and Mrs Tutton's horses.
One of the best known of these is Dory which has joined the team of G. D. Lee, who will race her In partnership with Mr P. Jones. This combination formerly raced Port Bank.
Lee, Incidentally, is not certain when Every Post will leave for Melbourne because of shipping difficulties. He hopes his Melbourne Cup candidate will be able to And space on the Maheno, which will leave Lyttelton next week.
The delay of the Marama tn Wellington last week has thrown the service out of schedule. The top Ally, Rich Beturn, was one
of the sufferers In the Maram* delay as she was aboard several days before the ship left port. She had to atay there while negotiations were in progress. The Highly promising Rlbaldo has thrived since his good second at the Grand National meeting and now sights are being set on something further afield. The next race will be at Ashburton in about three weeks time, and then races at Otaki and Maaterton may be considered. Mr M. W. Bryant, of Amberley, hat given his colt, Al Azhar, to G. C. Barr to train at Riccarton. Al Azhar is a three-year-old with some ability and the benefit of working tn company with other horses should have a good effect on the colt. He lacked this opportunity when trained at Amberley.
