Two teams in tourney
CANTERBURY will have v two teams competing in the A reserve section of the New Zealand women’s indoor basketball A grade championships art Rotorua from September 7 to 11. Because of their poor performance at the South Island A grade championships at Dimedin, where they failed to win a game, the Canterbury A grade representatives have been relegated to the A reserve section. However, the B grade team was unbeaten in winning its South Island championships at Invercargill and so has been promoted up a grade to A reserve. Canterbury will also enter another team th the B grade national tournament at Blenheim from August 24 to 29.
