Abernathy As Prosecutor (N.Z. Preea A««n.—Coppripht) ATLANTA, August 14. The Rev. Ralph Abefnathy called on 600 Cheering Southern Christian Leadership Conference delegates to march on Washington in the spring, to try the nation for crimes against the blacks. Mr Abernethy, who is president of the S.C.L.C., told its thirteenth annual convention: “The United States is a criminal responsible for many crimes in almost 200 years.” Serving as the prosecutor at a mock grand jury session, with the audience as the jury, he accused the United States of having lied to the blacks about equality, fraudulently deprived them of their her! tage, murdered countless numbers of them, and Intruded Illegally into Cambodia and ; Vietnam. “The trial will take place in Washington, D.C., during i the early months of 1971,” IMr Abernethy declared. “1 ' will see you in Washington in the spring.”
