All Sections Lower On Australian Markets
The market moved lower in all sections on 9 Australian stock ex- ] changes yesterday. Bud- J get-eve nervousness took i industrials off the top, I while the mining and oil 5 markets drifted despite 9 speculative interest in a i few issues. ? Centre of attraction was the s speculative nickel seeker, J Spargos Exploration. The , shares opened at 340 c and i eager buyers quickly pushed 1 the price to 460 c. However, afternoon profit taking was apparent and the shares fell to 390 c, still a 50c rise on the day. ; Peko picked up 20c to 1200 c j after report. EZI (listed on the indus- 1 trial boards) the holding company for Peko’s uranium exploration partner, Electrolytic Zinc, jumped 28c to 460 c. Otherwise most miners were easier, and oils were narrowly mixed. Industrials were noticeably lower ahead of the budget. B.H.P. dipped 30c to 1460 c after the release of the annual report.
