No Reply On Salaries

(N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 18. The national executive of the Educational Institute had not received a reply today from the Minister of Education on teachers’ salaries. The president of the institute (Mr H. M. Hunter), said the executive had been told that the Minister had written to them. “We have not received any actual reply, so you can imagine we are getting quite concerned,” said Mr Hunter. He said he did not doubt that the Minister had written to the executive, but there must have been a delay somewhere. Most members of the executive are attending the international "educational seminar in Hamilton.
