Hornby Road Cycling

T. Hartill narrowly beat T. C. Gibbs to win the Hornby Cycling Club’s 40-mile road race tor the Borgfeld Cup at Halswell on Saturday. Riding in good conditions. Hartill, who had a handicap of 4inin, just managed to hold off Gibbs, who was off the same mark. After two of the five laps had been covered it was obvious that the scratch men had no chance of catching the strongriding break markers, although C. Yaxley, having his first race Since returning from Australia, made a gallant bid on his own over the . final lap.
