Horse Sold For $4.9m

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK.

The United States platinum tycoon, Mr W. Engelhard has syndicated his unbeaten three-year-old colt, Nijinsky, for a record SUSS.4m (SNZ4.9m), the Associated Press reports. Nijinsky in England and Ireland has won all his 10 races.

The two previously richest syndicated stallions were Vaguely Noble, whose rights went for SNZ4.SSm last year, and Buckpasser, syndicated in 1967 for SNZ4.36m. Nijinsky will have two more races in France and the United States—before going to stud. In the French race one of his opponents is likely to be the champion New Zealand eolt Piko, which is also owned by a United States millionaire, Mr N. B. Hunt
