N.Z. To Attend Food Talks

WELLINGTON, August 4. New Zealand would be represented at the Codex Alimentarius Pesticide Committee, to be held at Scheveningen, the Netherlands, from September 28 to October 6, the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Carter) said today.

The committee is responsible for setting international tolerances for residues in food.

New Zealand’s delegates will be Mr B. B. Watts, the superintendent of agricultural chemicals with the Department of Agriculture, and Mr G. J. Batten, agricultural adviser in London.
