Two Appeals Heard

An appeal by Noel Ernest MtNicholl, a salesman (Mr J. F. Burn) against the decision of a Magistrate in dismissing his claim against Rental Vehicles, Ltd (Mr A. D. Holland) for the recovery of a contribution he had been obliged to make towards the cost of repairing a rental car, was upheld in the Supreme Court yesterday. Mr Justice Wilson remitted the case back to the Magistrate’s Court with a decision that judgment be entered for Mr McNicholl. An appeal by Steve Christenson and Company, Ltd (Mr , E. J. Somers) against a decision of a Magistrate against the company in a civil claim ’ against Furs and Fashions ' (N.Z.) Ltd (Mr J. N. Matson) ! for $ll6O, the balance of rent ; claimed to be owing for premises at 105 Cashel Street, 1 was dismissed.
