Woman To Be Leader (N.Z. Trett AsiocUtionr WELLINGTON. Dr Ann Chapman, a University of Waikato lecturer, Will lead the university expedition to the Antarctic in November to study the adaptations of lake organisms to extreme conditions. Apart from Dr Chapman, who is unmarried, the party will include three men—Dr J. P. Leader and Mr C. S. Hatton, of Auckland, and Dr T. J. Brown, Of Massey University, Palmerston North. The four biologists will set up their base camp in the Taylor Dry Valley. Travelling by helicopter, they will visit various research sites in the Antarctic, but will not be working with scientists from other countries.
