Development At Lincoln
The second stage of the meat inspectors’ accommodation block at Lincoln College was nearing completion and would be ready for the August intake, the college principal (Dr M. M. Burns) said yesterday.
More than 100 meat inspectors would move into the college soon for a 12-week course he told a meeting of the col- ’ lege council yesterday. ‘ With the continued growth 1 in staff numbers and class 1 enrolments the college would 1 have many accommodation i difficulties next year. A full I review of office and laboratory 1 space and its use was being ’ undertaken, said Dr Burns. Progress on the lecture theatres continued to be satisfactory although the job was unlikely to be completed by the scheduled date. However, the main contractor was also the successful tenderer for the Students’ Union building and would be able to integrate the work programmes to good effect.
