Farmers’ Call

ROTORUA, July 26.
In spite of Budget assistance to farmers, the National Party annual conference in Rotorua called for "urgent Government steps to restore viability to the farming industry. Mr J. D. Tait-Jamieson (Plako), speaking to a Waikato division remit, said that the decline in farmers' incomes had reached 26 per cent over the last few years. “Does the Government condone this?” he asked.
