Leeston was still at the top of the Ellesmere Rugby Subunions senior competition after Saturday s matches. Leeston has 22 points, one more than Lincoln and Prebbleton. Sodthbridge is fourth with. 19 and then follow Irwell (13), Darfield (12) and Burnham and Peninsula, each with 10.
Results of Saturday’s matches were:—
Senior.—Prebbleton 16, Southbridge 6; Lincoln 8, Irwell 6; Darfield 16, Peninsula 16; Leeston beat Burnham by default.
Senior Reserve.—United 21, Leeston 11; Kirwee Combined 29, Southbridge 0; Springston 16, Dunsandel 14.
Under 19.—Lincoln 40, Peninsula 0; Leeston 3, Kirwee Combined 3; Waihora-Prebbleton 13, Southbridge 11; Burnham 54. Sheffield 3.
Under 16.—Peninsula 14, Leeston 0: Waihora 24. Burnham 0; Darfield 16, Irwell Dunsandel 11; Lincoln 13, Southbridge 3.
Under 13.—Section A: Southbridge 20. Leeston 0: Lincoln 8, Sheffield 5: Darfield 25. Peninsula 0. Section B: Kirwee 20. Lincoln 3: Dunsandel 10, Irwell 0; Burnham 8, Waihora
