Sayers, “The Murder on the Links,” by Agatha Christie, “Twentyfive,” by Beverly Nichols, “William,” by E. H. Young, “Gone to Earth,” by Mary Webb, and “Carnival,” by Compton Mackenzie. Jonathan Cape had published them all in hardback covers.
