Fairlie H.S. Principal

Mr W. 1. Ross, at present first assistant master at Inangahua College, has been appointed principal of the Fairlie Form I-VI High School. This was announced yesterday at a meeting of the Canterbury Education Board. Mr Ross first trained as a primary teacher at the Dunedin Teachers’ College from 1939 to 1940. From 1941

to 1949 he taught at primary schools in the Canterbury board’s district His first secondary appointment was as assistant master at Southland Boys’ High School in 1950 and from 1951 to 1966 he was on the staff of the Ashburton High School. Mr Ross went to Inangahua College in 1966.
