Training will be given initially in both fields and on completion of this initial training, the appointee will concentrate on the branch in which they show particular aptitude. * After satisfactory progress the appointees will be encouraged and assisted to study for the New Zealand Certificates in Draughting or Engineering. Salary payable will be in the range $1296 per annum to $2527 per annum, the point of entry depending upon qualifications. Holders of School Certificate would commence at $1296 per annum, and holders of University Entrance at $1486 per annum.
